grace who?

So—who am I? Well, my name is Grace and when I grow up I want to be a professional make-believer.

Currently I make-believe on an amateur level. My other hobbies include dreaming, thinking, wandering, and laughing at things that aren’t necessarily funny.

One day my friends sat around figuring out what everyone was going to do with their lives, and the story they decided on for me went something like this:

Grace is going to write a series of best-selling YA fantasy books under a pen name, and she’s not going to tell us because she doesn’t think they’re very good, even though they are. Meanwhile she’ll spend her life tinkering away at her magnum opus, which will be published either very late in her life or posthumously and will receive glowing reviews from everyone who matters.

I’m trying, guys, I’m trying.

So anyway, this blog is a place for me to collect myself, to express myself, to welcome you in to a little bit of my world. You will find this world to be scattered and random. I write about things I love, an eclectic list that will include but not be limited to:

  • Star Wars
  • Oscar Wilde
  • books
  • writing
  • writers
  • Doctor Who
  • theater
  • myself
  • people you’ve never heard of
  • books books books
  • movies (especially those aimed at children and/or teenage boys—the more explodey things the better)
  • Victorian England
  • live music
  • all things Joss Whedon
  • Law and Order

So welcome to Gracetopia, my own little slice of heaven.
